2009-TANKMAN TANGO STREAMING

STREAMING EVENT

international ephemeral memorial for Tienanmen Square 20th anniversary made of dancing bodies in homage to the lone man who stood up to the tanks. It took place around the world and streamed on internet with participation of 8 locations: Auckland, Hobart, Brisbane, Singapore, Belgrade, Brussels, Dunkerque, Richmond allowing artists to perform together and also exchange opinions.

2008-CYBERFORMANCE GROUP

They collaborate on experimental cross-disciplinary works combining theatre, dance, video & visual arts through digital media but also in the method of working an idea. They challenge the ideas of location & ‘site,’ using places where they happen to be (local site) combined with a variety of media & performance software that allows them to work together in real time from their different physical locations & across different time zones.

AVATAR on SECOND LIFE

Chubby (but not fat), short, blue spiky hair, big eyes, dressed with river and moss textures, zebra tights and leopard boots. She is a member of Odyssey, attends openings. Highlights: visiting 17 unsung songs, opening of iMAL (Brussels and SL), spectator of multiple shows by C.A.R.P (Cybernetic Art Research Project), the moving writing in ZKM and Babelswarm, and a pony ride on a pink cutie.

2006-MIRAGE

MIRAGE, installation performance

Interactive labyrinth of perceptual illusion, playing on construction of hybrid forms, the real & virtual fusing & separating, taking phantom-limb sensation as a “body-mirage”, & inspired by the work of neurologist V. Ramachandran. Performed in a reflective pool amongst multi-dimensional projections.
Short-listed for 2008 Australian Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement in Independent Dance.

LIQUID SKIN, multimedia show

Inspired by science & mythology of transformation. Human body augmented by technology & at the same time manipulated. Movement, transparent puppets, video art & spatialised sound form a combination of ancient & hi-tech imagery, mirrored in a liquid skin of water.
Commissioned by Theater der Welt Festival (Stuttgart), co-producd by Figuren Theater Tuebingen (G), Des Airs (B), IGNEOUS (Aus).

Based on optical illusion of an old silent movie coming to life on the stage. Inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein & Expressionist movies’ aesthetic. Toured internationally for 5 years, with more than 1,000 shows. Creativity Award & Rene Praile most innovative show Award at Actor’s Performance Cannes Festival 87, Prix du Jeune Théâtre Commission française de la Culture de Bruxelles for its professional qualities 88, Special Guest at 14th Cesars Night Award (A2 channel) 89.
