In 1998, I’ve started a photographic project called ‘People in their Kitchens’– showing how this transformational space can be used in various ways but also unveiling customs, rituals, different cultures and daily gestures. I also photographed restaurants kitchens in Sydney, on Oxford and King streets, which are reputable to have restaurants next to each other. At that time I worked with black and white negatives. In 2008, I thought to photograph the same places but with digital colour photographs. Unfortunately, I had knees problem, and it is only this year in February-March 2016 that I finally returned to Oxford and King Streets.
