I had great FUN to make this new e-fashion garnment! Some circuitry, a mix of e-waste, copper embroidery & LEDS by MakerQueen. Thanks to Dane for commissioning it & being inspired by Tron Legacy!
Below, some documentation of the e-fashion technology workshops at Cyber Palace throughout 2022. We showcased our work at Advanced Queensland Precinct. A catalogue presenting our works was launched.
There were artist talks given by some workshop participants [Cathy Godwin, Felicity Clarke, Leah Emery, Rebecca Healy, Yulia Book, myself and Tara Pattenden], and presentations by industry leaders within e-textiles and creative technology, Mika Satomi from Kobakant, and Steph Piper, the MakerQueen. Steph presented her recent creation – GlowStitch, a range of machine sewable LED strips that make it easy to add lighting to a range of creative projects.
